WELCOME TO “LET’S RIDE REVIEWS”
Let me just say how grateful I am that you are here sharing a bit of my world! I started this blog to show my journey and to be able to share what I am learning along the way. Thanks so much for stopping by and please remember to comment, share, and follow. It really does help me! So let’s read on…!!!
I had the opportunity to hang with my chica, Dawn, @sassyautochick and have a full day with the very iconic Chevy Blazer. What comes to mind when thinking of the Blazer? Reliable, genuine, and a classic…to say the least! Read on to take a deeper dive with me. Shall we?

First off, let me explain how fun it was to spend the day with my girl @SassyAutoChick for a girl’s “drive and lunch” day. My two favorite things to do…..drive and eat!! Yum!! The day couldn’t have been more perfect but we always have a good time together regardless! And, to top it off, we had the best lunch at an amazing Mexican restuarant in West Palm, Florida. Not to get off topic completely, but the food was pretty amazing and reasonably priced. [smiles}
UPDATES:
Ok, so let’s chat about the main topic now, which is the Chevy Blazer RS! The Blazer is updated for 2023. These updates mainly entail a revised front fascia—including a new grille design and updated headlights. Then if you go to the rear, you will find that the Blazer’s taillights have also changed slightly. New wheels also come with all 2023 Blazers. The RS we drove, had super large, sporty-looking awesome wheels: 21-inchers! Inside, the biggest change for 2023 is the new 10-inch touchscreen which is 2-inches larger than last year’s 8-inch screen, which my eyes appreciated. No squinting for me!
STYLING OF THE BLAZER
The exterior styling of the Blazer is super sporty regardless of what trim you get, but if you want the most head-turning sporty Blazer, I’d say the RS trim that we had probably takes the cake! Especially when outfitted in Chevy’s bright race-inspiring shade of red. Thankfully, this sporty design continues into the interior too, which Chevy says is “Camaro inspired” – I notice the hint-of-Camaro design cues and I absolutely love them! Nice move Chevy!
TRIM LEVELS
Speaking of trims, the Chevrolet Blazer comes in 4 trim levels:
2LT – Entry-Level starting at $39,195
3LT – Mid-Range starting at $43,395
RS – Top-of-the-Line Sporty starting at $47,095
Premier – Top-of-the-Line Premium starting at $47,095
SAFETY ASSIST PACKAGE
I don’t want to forget to mention, on our drive to our lunch outing, I enjoyed the peace of mind knowing that all Blazer trims come standard with Chevy’s Safety Assist Package, which includes:
-Collision Alert with Pedestrian Detection
-Lane Departure Warning
-Emergency Braking
-Automatic High Beam Assist Headlights
-Following Distance Indicator
You may be asking yourself at this point, what’s under the hood of the Blazer?
The 2022 Chevy Blazer RS comes standard with a 3.6L V6 engine that makes 308 horsepower. By comparison, all other trim levels feature a smaller standard engine: a 2.0L turbo four-cylinder that makes 228 horsepower. The V6 in the RS is a great option if you want more “oomph” from this Camaro-inspired SUV.
What is new for this year’s Blazer (available on all trims)?
-Revised Front Fascia (Headlamps & Grille)
-Revised Rear Fascia (Tail lamps)
-New Rim Designs
-Larger Touchscreen with wireless charging
Oh yeah, and if you were wondering what the rival’s were for the Chevy Blazer, they are the: Ford Edge, Honda Passport, and the Hyundai Santa Fe.
OK now, my Riders….please chime in and tell me what you think!!! What say you??!!?? How does this AWD Crossover measure out for you? Don’t hold back, but please keep it clean and be kind, thanks in advance!!!
